Cancer Screening Outreach Program

Our Cancer Screening Outreach Program works to increase awareness and access to preventative cancer screenings throughout our community. Through education, outreach, and community partnerships, we connect individuals with available screening resources, encourage early detection, and help reduce barriers to receiving potentially lifesaving screenings.

Our
Program Provides…

  • Businesses, organizations, and groups are encouraged to reach out to our program coordinator to schedule an educational presentation.

    These presentations work to educate our community on the importance of cancer screening and where/how they can access cancer screenings.

    Our program coordinator can accommodate both in-person and virtual presentations for your group.

  • What cancer screening services does the CSP offer?

    • Breast Cancer Screening - mammogram and clinical breast exam

      • women aged 40 and older (some programs for women aged 50 and older)

      • women under age 40 at high risk for breast cancer*

    • Cervical Cancer Screening - Pap Test, high-risk HPV test and Pelvic Exam

      • women aged 40 and older

    • Colorectal Cancer Screening - Fecal Occult Blood Test/Fecal Immunochemical Test Kit

      • people aged 45 and older at average risk for colorectal cancer

    • Colorectal Cancer Screening - Colonoscopy

      • people at increased or high risk for colorectal cancer*

    *Only as determined by a New York State licensed health care provider per program guidelines.
