Rapid Re-housing
(STEPH)

The STEPH (Solutions to End Homelessness Program) assists individuals and families’ meeting the HUD’s definition of homelessness medium-term (4–18 months) tenant-based rental assistance to help individuals or families experiencing homelessness move quickly into permanent housing and achieve stability.

    • Contacting Landlords

    • Completing Rental Applications

    • Security Deposit (if currently homeless)

    • NYSEG (assisting with back NYSEG payments if NYSEG is preventing you from housing)

  • If you are matched through coordinated entry system or referred by a case manager, you may be eligible for rental assistance, up to 18 months.

    • Provide 24 months of case management.

    • Assisting applying for DSS services
