Diabetes Prevention Program

  • East Hill Family Medical 144 Genesee Street Auburn, NY, 13021 United States (map)

The National Diabetes Prevention Program provides tools, social support, education and motivation to help you change your life if you are at risk for developing type 2 diabetes. This lifestyle change program has resulted significant weight loss, improved quality of life and lowered glucose levels for past participants. It runs from 5 to 6 pm Thursdays, starting March 14, 2019, at East Hill Family Medical.

This is a 26-session workshop that begins with 16 weekly sessions, and then it shifts to meeting once or twice a month for the remaining 10 sessions, for a total of a year commitment. Space is limited, and the past two sessions have filled up with a waiting list, so don’t delay in reaching out.

Register by emailing Certified Lifestyle Coach Georgette Jones at or call her at (315) 252-4212.

“I learned I can (change my life). I want to help other people, so I put myself on the back burner. I realized that I can help myself. No one is going to do it for me.”
