Are you at risk for diabetes? Want help making a change for life? For the National Diabetes Prevention Program, a certified lifestyle coach will use a Centers for Disease Prevention and Control-approved curriculum to help reach the following goals:
- Lose 5% to 7% of your body weight
- Increase physical activity to 150 minutes or more per week
- Live a healthy lifestyle.
Participants will receive education, social support and tools for one year to learn how to be able to change their lives. This program is specifically for people who are at risk for developing diabetes, not for those who already have the disease. Not sure if you are prediabetic?
